The Story Behind Lazy Cow Clothing Company<\/p>
In 2022, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I was only six years old and had never even heard of diabetes before. It was really hard to explain to my friends what was happening and why I suddenly had to check my blood sugar and take insulin every day.<\/p>
Living with a chronic illness like diabetes isn\u2019t easy, especially when you\u2019re young. That\u2019s why I believe it\u2019s important to help more people understand what diabetes is and what it\u2019s like to live with it. The more we talk about it, the more support and awareness we can build.<\/p>
So, I decided to do something fun and meaningful: I started my very own clothing company to raise awareness about Type 1 Diabetes and give back to Diabetes UK. A percentage of profits from Lazy Cow Clothing is donated to the charity to help fund their important research and support services.<\/p>
Why the name Lazy Cow?<\/p>
The Highland cow is my favourite animal \u2013 they\u2019re big, fluffy, and kind of lazy-looking, which I think is really cute! I called it Lazy Cow because my pancreas is lazy too \u2013 it doesn\u2019t work properly and doesn\u2019t produce the insulin I need. The blue circle in our logo represents diabetes awareness, and blue is also the colour of Diabetes UK.<\/p>
Every time you wear Lazy Cow, you\u2019re helping share an important message, raise awareness, and support a great cause.<\/p>
